Pfas in water

Phytoremediation

Plants has found been to be a excellent remover of Pfas from water. Pfas love to be in water and specularly short Pfas is hard to remove. Different length of Pfas travels to diffrent pats of the plants. Short ones mostly finds in leafs and long one’s in the roots. We found SRC (short rotation coppice) Wilow perfekt for the task. Irrigated with PFAS- water with a safe approved LWIS irrigation system moves the Pfas in the reach of the relatively shallow roots

Laqua Filter solutions

The filter has a lot in common with an activated carbon filter when it comes to capturing organic environmental toxins, but also has the ability to break down organic environmental toxins through the micro-/macro-organism flora that develops in the filter. Much of the water’s solid constituents are also captured through absorption, ion exchange or precipitation

Typically results from peat ash treatment of leakage water from landfill

Laqua Hybrid filter

An innovative solution for Pfas management which combines a ‘Soil plant-system’ (Willow), a Wetland and a Laqua Filter (peat/biochar) in a controlled environment. The water is recirculated several times for maximum expose of contaminants for roots and filter substrate

Both the substrate (carbon/peat) and plants in combination removes a broad variety of Pfas. The innovation let us also harvest the roots together with the remaining substrate and plants with Pfas to be destroyed by incineration
